Abstract [It]: Il presente studio esamina il rapporto tra sovranità digitale e libertà di espressione online nell’ordinamento europeo e convenzionale, analizzando i meccanismi di tutela e le sfide emergenti. Concentrando l’attenzione sulla responsabilità delle piattaforme digitali e sulle implicazioni per la governance, il contributo approfondisce la giurisprudenza della CGUE e della CEDU e le tendenze regolatorie volte a bilanciare l’autonomia digitale con la tutela della libertà di espressione.

 

Title: Digital sovereignty and freedom of expression online in the European and Conventional dimension

Abstract [En]: This study examines the relationship between digital sovereignty and freedom of expression online within the European and conventional legal framework, analyzing protection mechanisms and emerging challenges. Focusing on the responsibility of digital platforms and its implications for governance, the work explores the case law of the CJEU and the ECtHR, as well as regulatory trends aimed at balancing the digital autonomy with the protection of freedom of expression.
